About us

South Western Care Services was established in 2011 by Mrs Tracey Marie Thorpe - following a career in care in both carer and managerial roles Tracey decided to put her knowledge, training and experience into setting up her own domiciliary care agency providing quality care to the elderly within their own homes with the help of a team of experienc ed, ded icated carers and office staff that have joined force with Tracey over the years.

Tracey is the registered provider with the Care Quality Commission, who regulate the service. All inspections and outcomes can be found at www.cqc.org.uk . In 2019 Tracey's daughter Rosie Thorpe became a registered manager of South Western Care Services. Followed in 2021 of a further two registered managers taking to the helm Rebecca Woods and Patricia Kyriacou.

South Western Care Services currently employ 70 plus staff and are always looking for new recruits to join our ever-expanding team.

In 2020, following our extensive growth over the years and the increase in number of carers that we employ, we noted that out training needs were spiralling and we found that we were needing to offer a wider variety of specialised areas of training within the health and social care sector.

As a result we became an Advantage Accreditated training centre which enables us to offer a wide range of training and skills both within Health and Safety and Health Care related topics from basic, to intermediate levels.

We have a team of our own in house trainers that provide training to our own staff and to external groups or individuals.

More information on the training that we are able to offer at competitive rates can be found on our training centre page.
